Safety

Safety is a core business activity of Thorburn Associates.  Since the introduction of the NSW OHS Act 2000 and OHS Regulation 2001 the construction and property industries have undergone a major shift in approach to OHS management.  This has also placed greater responsibilities on property owners and clients in this area.

In response to these changes, OHS compliance has become major deliverable in all of our projects and we provide a service which assists our clients in meeting their particular obligations under the legislation.  We have a strong understanding of the Regulations and have a policy of identification of the OHS risk in the early stages of a project to ensue these risks are eliminated or minimised  by good design and planning.

Thorburn Associates has extensive experience in the preparation of contracts for delivery of a wide range of works and services in the construction, maintenance and engineering fields to achieve maximum value for money to our clients.

With this service we emphasise the need for having clear tender documents, sound technical specifications, realistic performance indicators and objective tender evaluation in achieving value from the process.  Contract administration and other post contract award services are also provided within this business area.
